2.4m VSAT Antenna With Motorized Drive Mode

In 2020, we shipped out 2 sets of 2.4m VSAT antennas with motorized and manual drive mode respectively to HongKong. Normally in HongKong area it often has typhoon, and most of the antennas installed in HongKong are installed on the building top, which cause that we need to provide high-wind resistance structure antenna type. This August, client had finished motorized 2.4m VSAT antenna installation on their site. From picture that you can see our 2.4m antenna is installed on building rooftop with a kind of non-penetrating mount while you do not have to worry about the resistance to high wind, as our antenna structure is with rigid back radiation plates and kingpost. Antesky delivered the first manual 2.4m antenna in Hong Kong in 2016. And this 2.4m manual VSAT antenna keep working well after 1 year operating.

Also, client had tried the step-in tracking by using our antenna, and they got good performance. This antenna azimuth and elevation drive mechanism can assure wide travelling range during operation. That is AZ(0°-360°), EL(0°-90°). They were satisfied with antenna wide azimuth range.

4.Maintenance for 2.4m VSAT motorized antenna

Here we will show you how to do maintenance for manual and motorized VSAT antenna respectively. For Antesky manual VSAT antenna, the main maintenance like fasteners lucubrating, surface coating of the antenna are as follows.

For Antesky motorized antenna, you should also do the following maintenance except the maintenance referred above for the manual antenna.

AZ & EL Motor reducer maintenance

In order to keep the motor smooth and antenna pointing accuracy, please inject some grease to the motor reducers with a grease gun once a year, the grease gun is as follow.

AZ & EL limit maintenance

When checking the limit, first disassemble the cover screws, then check whether the limit screws are loose, and apply grease. once a year.

Maintenance of the controller

Check the cooling fan of the ACU to ensure that the cooling system of the device is normal; remove the dust on the cooling fan once a year.
