After finishing customization, Antesky did far-field test to verify the specification including antenna gain, sidelobe and envelope, cross polarization isolation etc. The testing results are as following:
- Features of first sidelobe:
The sidelobe performance has widely increased after moving feed away from reflector. After testing, the first sidelobe is about -25dB and sidelobe envelope is far less than 29-25log θ dBi required in ITU 580-4.
- Cross polarization isolation:
Optimized feed structure and design to make the feed radiation characteristic axisymmetric. The tested cross polarization isolation is -40dB.
- G/T value test:
After amending reflector curve, antenna efficiency improves to 78% according to the actual test G/T @ 11.2 GHz, 19.2 dBk.
